High-Performance

High performance and reliable oil palm data analytic platform

High-Performance Analytic Platform: This project explores using container technology, cloud computing, and auto-scaling to create a cost-effective and high-performance platform for oil palm analytics. It also focuses on deep learning and Federated Learning to address industry challenges while considering data privacy. The findings highlight enhanced resource efficiency, scalability, and data processing speed, with cost savings compared to traditional server-based solutions. However, potential challenges and privacy risks are also acknowledged.
Blockchain

Blockchain for data analytics

Blockchain for Data Analytics: Bitcoin operates as a decentralized digital currency, free from central control. In one architectural approach, Bitcoin's blockchain is used to securely record certificates via piggybacking. It follows an open standard architecture and uses public keys for security. The cost for a Bitcoin transaction is about $15.50. FGV Credentials can be employed for Certificate/Verifiable-Data. Blockchains are digital ledgers distributed across computer networks and are considered indestructible.
Optimization

Optimization & deep learning on quantum infrastructure

Optimization & Deep Learning on Quantum Infrastructure: Access to quantum computers comes in Free, Premium, and Limited options. Simulators run on CPUs/GPUs for testing, either locally (within quantum libraries) or remotely (for high-performance computing). Problems are represented as QUBO models and solved using libraries like Qiskit (IBM, IonQ, Rigetti) and Ocean (D-Wave). An ongoing experiment comparing quantum computer use in solving combinatorial optimization problems via direct simulations.
FAIR

FAIR-based data discovery and computing platform

FAIR-Based Data Discovery and Computing Platform: A high-performance computing cluster has been built for oil palm data-related analytics. It comprises compute and storage clusters.
